Thrymr is a small irregular moon orbiting around Saturn. It was probably a captured object. It is named after a giant in Norse mythology who stole Thor's hammer.
The vase was coiled by hand and fired up to 1240C. Thrymr is made with a red clay and partially covered with porcelain slip. It is glazed inside and left unglazed outside.
The vase is functional and measures 14 cm in height and around 9 cm in diameter at its middle (largest) point.
All the glazes are formulated and made by me.
Certificate of authenticity will be provided.
This vase is part of the 274 Moons / 274 Vases projects. I am building a vase for each of the 274 moons orbiting Saturn.
